Acton Lake - A tranquil lake, boats must not have more than a 10-hp motors. There are boat launches and docks in the park. Fishing from boats and the shore is popular. Fish species include crappie, largemouth bass, bluegill, and catfish. A fishing pier on the west shore is wheelchair accessible.
Swimming Beach - a 1500 ft beach along the shore of Acton Lake. There is a changing area, bathrooms, and a concession stand.
Accommodations
Lodge - A 96 room full service lodge that sits above Acton Lake. The lodge has a dining room, snack bar, gift shop, meeting rooms, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. There is also free Wi-Fi available.
Cottages / Cabins - There are 25 cottages that can sleep up to six people. Each is fully stocked with cooking and eating utensils, towels, and bed linens. A few cottages allow pets.
Camping - There are 252 full camping sites. They have water and electricity and there are showers, bathrooms, and laundry facilities centrally located throughout this area. An additional 236 primitive campsites, with no electricity and non-flush bathrooms. For the horsemen there are 28 campsites scattered throughout the bridle paths.
Hiking / Mountain Biking / Horseback riding - Ten miles of hiking trails. 18 miles for horseback riding trails, and 12 miles of mountain biking trails. A section of the American Discovery Trail that passes through the park. .
Picnicking - There are many picnic areas throughout the park.
Golf Course - A full 18-hole, par 72 golf course that is open from March through November. There is also a driving range and pro shop.
Nature Reserve - There is a 200 nature reserve contained within the park. The reserve is an old growth beech maple forest that boasts a beautiful spring wildflower show. Large old beech trees dominate the forest and are mixed with sugar maple, red oak, white oak, and ash..
